OUR DOGS
Dr Jac’s Mortisha, SH, CDX
OFA hips and patella’s normal
In 2000 we acquired Dr Jac’s Mortisha, SH, CDX. Mort is out of DC AFC Kacie’s Sir Duncan of Dash MH and AFC Lynsey’s Maggie Malone MH going back to the HOF NAC, DC, AFC Renegade’s Kansas Kid; HOF NFC, NAC, DC AFC Perry’s Rustic Prince; HOF DC AFC Colorado’s Jumping Gypsy; and HOF DC Hi-Spirit Bazooka’s Pistol. Her half brother is a DC, MH and she has 2 half sisters at the MH level. Her pedigree takes us back to the Bazooka lines we like so much.
Mort is a Best of Breed Winner and one major away from her CH, her conformation title. She is a close working eager to please bird dog with an above average nose but has not been campaigned in the field due to time constraints. She is a pleaser and mothers the kids like her pups.
2006 SEASON: Mort loved ND, and was found honoring Fester on a wild rooster. She had her first wild roster of the season killed over her - one of the guys with 2 knee replacements took Mort hunting by the house we were staying in since she worked so close and tight and he shot a wild rooster over her after some great dog work on her part and a staunch point. Later during the trip she was found running big with Fester in the CRP. A dog with a bigger heart and desire to perform does not exist.

International Champion
MC’s Fred Bear O’Dee MH "Fester"
In 2002 we acquired MC'S Fred Bear O'Dee, MH as an 8 week old puppy from MC'S Brittanys in California. Founders Chuck and Michele Sherer produced this dog from several O'Dee crosses. Both his sire and dam go back to HOF NAFC DC AFC Char-Lee O’Dee. Call name “Fester” he has proven to be the bird machine his O’Dee lines said he would be. "Fester" finished his International Championship in one weekend in Hutchinson, MN in May 2007. The International is based on the breed standard. "Fester" received 4 V-1's the highest score possible in all 4 shows. All 4 judges commented on what great substance and bone he has and what great movement he has. He is AKC show pointed at the top of the standard and solidly built to withstand the rigors of a season long hunt. (We hunt an average of three hours a day, five days a week September through the end of December) Fester runs big in the open yet works close in the grouse woods. He has a drive and desire that can’t be believed unless seen. He is a family dog, loves to please and thinks he is a lap dog after the sun goes down.
Fester is available for Stud to selected bitches. Bitches must be OFA’d; Brucellosis negative 30 days prior to breeding; be within the AKC standard; and have demonstrated drive, desire and potential in the field. Cool fresh shipped semen available also or in house breeding may be done here under the supervision of Dr. Swanson. (We are ICG and Synbiotics certified in Canine Reproduction)
2006 season had over 500 ruffed grouse worked along with several hundred training birds, game farm pheasants and 4 limits of wild pheasant in 31/2 days in North Dakota. Hungarian Partridge, Pheasants, Quail, Woodcock, Ruffed Grouse and Chukars… he excels at them all. At the young age of 4 he has worked over 1000 birds thus far.
